Olympics tickets bedlam
Hordes of fans swarmed sales windows in Beijing to get their hands on the final batch of Olympics tickets after queuing for up to two days.
Around 10,000 people queued to buy tickets - priced from $15 (£8) to $117 (£58).
Fisticuffs ensued at one site after officials opened additional sales windows, provoking some fans to stampede ahead of others in a bid to buy some of the 250,000 tickets on sale.
Several Hong Kong media outlets also complained that Chinese security officials were being heavy-handed with their reporters.
Footage from a television channel showed a policeman putting his arm around the neck of a reporter and pulling him to the ground.
"Today I'm very lucky, because I got the ticket," said Li Yifei.
"What I regret is that everyone can only buy two tickets, and all my family members want to go," she added.
In total, approximately 6.8 million Olympics tickets have been available for domestic and foreign sales.
